If you can believe in dandelions & the moon, why can't you believe in you?
You're already manifesting, so make sure you get what you want.
Hello you,
There are things in life that seem miraculous, magical even. So much of nature, even very ordinary, universal things like a dandelion, or the way the moon waxes and wanes each month, are truly awe inspiring when we take the time to look and to wonder.
Stop to ponder the story and lifecycle of the dandelion. Se how it turns from sun, to moon to stars in the way it develops, first as a flower, then as a seed head and finally as we see the individual seeds floating off - probably to infiltrate another perfect lawn ;)
It’s pretty amazing. But when you look behind the miracles that nature performs for us, such as the dandelion, the way a daisy unfurls and then closes at night, the way the moon affects the tides, how food appears in the form of berries for birds at the right times of the year, the beautiful order of the beehive, you start see the science, you see the rationale, the systems, the processes and the structure, how things work. How they came to be.
Creating the life that we want is exactly the same as this. At first, we focus on the outcome, the successful business, the beautiful home life and not so much on how we make this happen.
We look at examples out there of people who have what we long for and we just see the miracle, not the system, not the structure. Not what had to be thought, believed and undertaken to get there.
BUT. If we spent time on this structure, the systems, the process, we would start to understand how to make things happen for us too. It starts with dreams and beliefs and it ends with action.
Behind the curtain - unveiling the woo
If I say ‘creative visualisation’ or ’the law of attraction; to you - what do you think of? ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne? Hocus pocus, woo woo nonsense?
I hear you. I personally felt uneasy about that book too - more so the film the way in it had people thinking they could just sit around visualising sports cars and a million dollars and the like and they would appear.
But just think for a minute.
The definition of creative visualisation, is bringing forth what you want by visualising and believing in it. Which does spark some of those woo woo vibes, I know.
However, contemplate this. What if we are all visualising and manifesting all the time, already?
Surely our thoughts already ‘become things’. Don’t they?
Here’s something I do believe. What we think about IS creating our reality.
Below is one of my favourite quotes around this idea, it’s from the children’s book James & The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl and I love it so much I had it put on my son’s bedroom wall in vinyl cut lettering, above his bed, where he dreams :)
‘Well, maybe it started that way. As a dream, but doesn’t everything? Those buildings. These lights. This whole city. Somebody had to dream about it first. And maybe that is what I did. I dreamed about coming here, but then I did it.’
Our thoughts, beliefs and the stories we tell ourselves about our capabilities, the world around us, they are already creating our reality. Every minute of every day.
We are ALREADY manifesting.
But this can be done from a place of negativity. We focus on lack, our problems, our shortcomings and so, we create from that.
Notice I am not using the word attraction.
I have read all the universal energy stuff about how raising our vibration to the same as the things that you want attracts them effortlessly to you and whilst I am not completely sceptical, I choose to believe that the way creative visualisation REALLY works is this.
By focusing on what we want and altering the way we think about things, we:
Start to change our behaviour
Have a different energy
Begin to take different kinds of action
Alter what we notice and what we choose to ignore
Rewrite the stories
Find ways to start focused and on track
Changes how other people behave towards us as they react differently to this positivity and focus
THAT’S what brings about change, a combination of all this.
Clear desire and intentions naturally start to move us towards what we want, if approach it in the right way.
Everything is created in the mind first, so we have to start paying attention to what is currently going on in our mind and how that is creating what is going on in our lives.
If you do not belief you are worthy of something, you will never take the actions required to get it.
If you are always avoiding the failure that you are anticipating, you won’t start to work towards what you want, as the failure is so big in your mind that even though you can imagine, fleetingly, what the success will be, you have already failed or are anticipating failure. So, you have no motivation or urge to act, as acting is just moving towards failure.
If you come at things from a position of lack and with poor self belief, always looking for problems or pointing them out - how does that look and feel to others around you? How might this effect their willingness to engage with you? What opportunities or helping hands are being repelled by this?
When we don’t believe we can have thing, change things, BE things, the energy to make your dreams real is halted.
This weekend at Glasonbury, Dua Lipa spoke about how she manifested her performance at the festival, on the pyramid stage; this is what she said;
“I’ve written it down, I’ve wished for it, I’ve dreamt it, I’ve worked so hard in the hope that one day maybe I’ll get to do it”.
This to me is true manifestation, dream it, focus on it, yes, ‘raise your frequency’ so that you believe that it’s possible and you can stay hopeful, positive and then, do the work to make it so.
With love,
Sarah x

Good morning. ☀️ Thank you for the lovely reminder. I am heading out early for my long weekend hike before joining in this lovely invitation. ❤️
Wow I loved this Sarah. Such an amazing reframe of how things work and it makes total sense to me. I also loved the image of the dandelion as sun, moon and stars, pure magic! Thank you for your words and wisdom xx
