Hey you!

How’re you doing? How’re your fears?

Fear is something that comes up a lot in my coaching calls with clients. My clients are committed to their growth, they are stepping outside of their comfort zones, trying new things in their creative work and businesses and so naturally, these are the times when our fears and doubts show up.

Fear is neither a good thing or a bad thing, it just IS. Just as confidence isn’t just going to show up, neither is fear going to disappear. For the bold amongst us, it’s going to be a lifelong companion.

Fear is always, always with us when we are stretching and growing.

In my membership in The Selfish Bookclub, we are looking at fear in detail in a chapter in Tara Mohr’s Playing Big, the different kinds of fear and how acceptance and creative thinking about fear can make all the difference.

Sometimes the things you fear are just make believe. They are:

False

Evidence

Appearing

Real

These are the kind of fears that don’t much hold up to curious scrutiny. They’re stories we are telling ourselves which often break apart once we start to explore them and realise that they’re not really rooted in any truth or evidence.

BUT.

Sometimes the things you fear might really happen to you, once you step outside of your comfort zone and do new things.

  • You might fail

  • You might not be great at something, at least initially. You might be REALLY bad at it

  • You might make mistakes, maybe big ones

  • You might feel judged

  • You might actually BE judged (negative feedback, comments from strangers (and friends!), trolls

  • You might feel ignored, invisible

And on top of this, a myriad of specific things, pertinent to the thing you are contemplating doing. The fears can feel and be, real.

But what if we could learn to work with our fears?

Not just shove them to one side, or try to drown them out, but actually look at them head on, alongside your goals and the things that you want to do, and see how you can work through fears? Work WITH them? How you can even remove some of the things you fear, or make plans for how you might deal with things that go wrong and the feelings that will bring up in you?

Join me on Sunday at 4pm uk time for 90 minutes and I will show you how to do this.

You’ll leave the session feeling so much more confident about how to work with your fears, knowing that you can have them, limit and minimise them, and find the courage to go ahead regardless.

If you are a paid member, you already have this covered, you just have to sign up at the link at the bottom of this email.

If you are not, you can upgrade to paid for £7 a month

OR you can buy access to this session for just £10 via the link below:

All you have to do is, book in, show up, be curious and see where it takes you!

With love,

Sarah x
